US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing on the night of May 13, 2026, for a closely watched summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping. It is his first trip to China since 2017, and their first state visit since Trump’s return to the White House. Trump was received by Chinese Vice-President Han Zheng at Beijing Capital International Airport for his three-day visit. He was accompanied by senior US officials and more than a dozen business leaders.
