LGE 2026 | NW political parties agree to cooperate
Several political parties in the North West, mainly new entrants and some independent candidates contesting next week’s local government elections, have agreed to work together after the polls.
The parties will contest several municipalities in the Bojanala region, including the highly contested Rustenburg Local Municipality.
Thirty-nine political parties and 16 independent candidates will wrestle for control of the municipality.
The Rustenburg Local Municipality has been governed through a coalition for the past 10 years.
