“You are more than this”: Helping Ukraine’s war-traumatized children | Olena Rozvadovska
Some 1.6 million Ukrainian children live under Russian occupation, and more than 20,000 have been forcibly deported or abducted to Russia. Many have lost their parents. But Ukraine was able to bring some of the children home. The Voices of Children Charitable Foundation was established to provide them with psychological support.
“What we try to change in their optics, that war and their traumatic experience is something that does not define them. It’s something that was in their experience,” Olena Rozvadovska, the Foundation’s co-founder and chair of the board, told TVP World.
“But you are more than this. You are more, you can do more. You can write, you can sing, you can communicate. You can be just a child,” she added.
Join TVP World’s Klaudia Czerwińska as she and Rozvadovska discuss the Foundation’s mission, the challenges it faces, and what it needs to overcome them.
