‘Worst thugs in the world’: Fears Iran war risks becoming drawn-out stalemate

Political journalist John Fund warns the Iran war could descend into a prolonged stalemate.

“The problem is the United States is a democracy, and it responds to public opinion,” Mr Fund told Sky News host James Morrow.

“Iran is a dictatorship and the worst thugs in the world, the IRGC, are in charge; they don’t care about their people, they don’t care about killing them.

“They have more staying power, at least in the short term, than the Democratic forces in Israel or the United States.”
