Canada appears to be looking for closer relationships with countries around the world, now that its ties with the U.S. have soured. Polls show that a growing number of Canadians are willing to consider EU membership. Is the prospect at all realistic?

“Europe, I don’t think is ever going to take Canada as a full member of the European Union, even if a majority of Canadians favor it. But certainly there are plenty of spaces to develop a much closer relationship,” Alberto Coll, Professor at DePaul University’s College of Law, told TVP World.
