‘What’s up with the gold?’ Obama digs at Trump over White House renovations and bashes ‘grifting’

Former pPresident Barack Obama questioned Dona’d Trump’s White House renovations, suggesting it kept Trump preoccupied with issues not facing Americans while also bashing the administrations “grifting.”

“He should be on HGTV,” Obama said of Trump. “(The) guy is building a ballroom that is bigger than the White House, paved over the was gardening, paved it over, put a helicopter pad on the sideline, and then there is just gold everywhere. What’s up with the gold? I mean, he’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. It’s just gold everywhere.”
