Victorian doctors cancel strike after agreement with state government
Less than a day before planned strike action, Victorian doctors have struck a deal with the government, staving off today’s planned 12-hour work-stoppage.
A 12-month agreement to increase pay and improve working conditions was accepted by a slim majority of the union.
However, members are warning the deal doesn’t go far enough and doesn’t meet the needs of the health system.
