Gastrointestinal illnesses reported at Rhodes University: Olwethu Gwanya

Rhodes University has reported a cluster of gastrointestinal illnesses among members of its community.

The university says subsequent enquiries with local medical practitioners indicate that similar cases are being reported elsewhere in Makhanda, suggesting that the situation may extend beyond the University campus.

University spokesperson Olwethu Gwanya says further tests are underway.
