US students boo AI in graduation speeches

University students in the US have booed mentions of AI at graduation speeches this week, including one given by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt.

Almost 50 per cent of Gen Z say the risks outweigh the benefits, according to a recent Gallup Poll.

The growing backlash to AI can be seen among young people in reaction to fears that graduate jobs are being replaced by artificial intelligence.
