Ukraine pushes back Russian forces, claiming 3,000 casualties in offensive | Ukraine Brief
Kyiv on Wednesday is seeking clarification from the United States, NATO, and SpaceX after Ukrainian troops reported new restrictions on Starlink satellite internet for combat use. Despite this, Ukraine’s Third Army Corps says it has retaken another 101 square kilometers on the Lyman front during the fourth phase of Operation Vivaldi. Russian forces on Wednesday struck a food wholesaler in the western Ukrainian city of Lutsk. Six people were killed in the attack with another 10 wounded.
This follows waves of Russian aerial barrages across Ukraine overnight, which claimed the lives of 11 people and wounded over 70 wounded. Nearly 40 ballistic missiles were deployed, largely targeting energy and critical infrastructure, including in Kyiv.
To discuss this and more, Ukraine Brief host Ashim Kumar is joined by Yevheniia Kravchuk, Deputy Chair, Ukrainian Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.
