Trains, buses see resurgence after shutdown chaos at airports
We are learning more right before Thanksgiving about how Americans are planning on making their way around the country. It turns out, more Americans are choosing to take a train for the holidays this year according to AAA forecasts. They show that 8.5% more people will board trains, buses or cruises for Thanksgiving this year compared to last year. However, many Americans are still planning to drive or fly before the end of 2025.
Fox News’ Kailey Schuyler is in Boston, MA as Americans opt for trains over planes this holiday season, she joins LiveNOW’s Mike Pache. LiveNOW is also speaking with Charles Passy from Marketwatch as Americans look toward transportation options like buses when trying to save money before the end of the year.
However, many Americans are still planning to drive or fly before the end of 2025. We have heard reports that Amtrak says its experienced unprecedented demand, with 34.5 million customer trips, a 5.1% increase from fiscal year 2024 and an all-time record.
