Shocking footage shows the moment a passenger train crashes through a hay-filled trailer after a tractor stopped on a level crossing in Tczew County, northern Poland.
The trailer was still blocking the tracks as warning lights flashed and barriers came down. Seconds later, the approaching train slammed into the load at speed, sending straw and hay bales flying across the crossing.
Reports say around 500 people were on board the train at the time of the collision. Despite the dramatic impact, no injuries were reported.
Authorities said the 67-year-old tractor driver was intoxicated and is likely to face criminal charges. The footage was released as a stark reminder of the dangers at railway crossings, where drivers must obey signals and never stop on the tracks.
According to transport officials, nearly 200 accidents and collisions happen at level crossings in Poland each year.
