‘There will never be total peace’: Permanent Middle East stability remains unlikely

Retired US Marine colonel William ‘Burner’ Dunn casts doubt on prospects for lasting peace in the Middle East.

“Ultimately, I think we’re going to see a better, peaceful Middle East; it just may take a little while to get there,” Mr Dunn told Sky News Australia.

“In my opinion, there will never be total peace in the Middle East ever; I can’t see it.

“What I think we will see is periods of peace and calm that may be extended for, you know, years at a time.”
