Financial support for students who have to do unpaid practical placements will be expanded to help more people studying in allied health fields.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the extension of the popular ‘paid prac’ program at the ALP’s triennial National Conference.

From July next year students in clinical psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, paramedicine, radiography, pharmacy, rehabilitations therapies, and audiology degrees will be eligible to apply for the program.
