Stalemate between NW taxi industry and government

Taxi operators in the North West have given the Department of Public Safety and Transport Management a period of seven days to deal with small passenger carriers transporting commuters illegally.

This comes after they formed blockades at all entrances and exits of Mahikeng town, demanding the department deal with illegal operators, dubbed seven and four seaters.

The operators say they are unable to operate their business freely.
