Sea Arts Festival | Artists honour the sea in Durban festival
Durban is hosting the Theatre by the Sea Arts Festival, a special one-off, free event celebrating the sea as a force, resource, pantry, playground, boundary and endless source of inspiration, mystery and joy.
The open-air festival will take place alongside the Maritime Museum, off Durban’s Esplanade, with a free programme of street theatre featuring drama, music and dance.
It is funded by the National Arts Council, in partnership with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture and the Rooted Twins Community Arts Organisation.
Joining us to tell us more about the festival are Vumile Madlanga and Vuma Madlanga, founders of the Theatre by the Sea Arts Festival.
