*The Madlanga Commission has confirmed that it has submitted its second interim report to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The Commission, which is tasked with investigating allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption in the criminal justice system, is expected to traverse a number of themes in the second interim report.

*The European Center for Disease Control and Prevention has pledged to ramp up support on the ground to help nations in Central Africa contain the spread of Ebola.
Meanwhile the European Union is pledging more than 17 million dollars in humanitarian assistance.
