Road accidents putting extra strain on healthcare system, says Health Minister
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said every major road accident places added strain on the public healthcare system, urging greater emphasis on road safety following the fatal crashes linked to the recent RXZ Members 8.0 event.
Speaking after the opening of the newly renovated Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) headquarters on Friday (August 7), he said motorcycle convoys and large-scale motoring events must be organised responsibly with proper safety measures.
Meanwhile, MMA president Datuk Dr Thirunavukarasu Rajoo called for stronger cross-agency collaboration to strengthen the country’s healthcare system.
