Rescuers pull out first trapped person from flooded Laos cave
A team of specialist divers successfully rescued one of five men trapped inside a flooded cave in central Laos on Friday (May 29), while four others remained underground and two people were still missing.
The seven Lao nationals had entered the cave in Xaisomboun province in search of gold when flash floods struck on May 20, blocking their exit and leaving them trapped for more than a week.
