A 28-year-old man has been charged after attacking a priest outside a church in northwestern Poland. According to police, the suspect, who was heavily intoxicated, struck the priest without provocation before assaulting a church groundskeeper who intervened.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and admitted to the alleged offenses. Prosecutors have placed him under police supervision and imposed restraining orders barring him from contacting or approaching the two victims.
