Deadly night attack shakes Odesa | Midday Report
Our stories today:
Russian attacks have continued, killing two, late Thursday night in the port city of Odesa. One of the fatalities included a woman who was walking through a park in the evening with her children. The attack comes after an earlier one that killed 3 people and wounded 6 more.
Despite no longer being Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Poland’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski spoke highly of Mykhailo Fedorov’s contributions to the Ukrainian government. Sikorski expressed hopes that President Zelenskyy instigated the reshuffle for the right reasons – and not just as a political maneuver in advance of possible elections.
President Donald Trump has claimed that intelligence reports he had recently declassified showed Chinese interference in the 2020 U.S. elections which he lost to Joe Biden. But in the trove of declassified files, some also point to Russian interference, aimed at ensuring Trump’s own presidential victory.
