Political meddling turned Felda from a profit-making giant into a RM10bil debtor, says PM
Excessive political interference turned the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) from a profitable billion-ringgit plantation giant into an agency saddled with almost RM10bil in debt, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar stressed that the financial crisis was not caused by Felda settlers, dismissing any suggestion that they were responsible for the agency’s mounting debt.
