PM: Govt still faces RM3bil loss from failed pipeline projects despite RM5bil deal with China
The government still faces RM3bil in losses from the failed Trans-Sabah Gas Pipeline (TSGP) and Multi-Product Pipeline (MPP) projects despite securing a RM5bil loan restructuring agreement with China, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister said the agreement, signed on Oct 30, would reduce the country’s potential losses from RM8bil to RM3bil by redirecting RM5bil in financing towards the Northern Perak-Penang Water Supply Scheme (NPWSS).
