Out-of-Control Wildfire Sweeps Through Western Canada #shorts
A fast-moving wildfire in British Columbia nearly doubled in size overnight, prompting thousands of residents to evacuate from communities in the Okanagan wine and orchard region. The Bald Range wildfire grew to about 23,500 acres and was burning out of control on August 8. Summerland declared a state of emergency, while the fire also caused power outages and led to a boil-water notice after untreated water entered the system.
