NUMSA rocked by internal leadership crisis
Metalworkers union, NUMSA says it has dismissed Khandani Msibi as Chief Executive of its investment company, and removed him as a director.
The union is intensifying efforts to recover assets it alleges were misappropriated from workers.
General Secretary, Irvin Jim, says allegations of theft and looting of workers’ money, shares and assets, are being investigated, and anyone implicated must be held accountable.
The union says Msibi’s removal will allow the board to regain access to bank accounts, and conduct a forensic investigation.
