MV-22B Osprey Catches Fire During Training Exercise at Arizona Airport
A fire broke out on a US Marine Corps aircraft at an airport in central Arizona on Sunday, July 19, according to local reports citing officials.
Emergency responders were called to Mesa Gateway Airport at around 6 pm after the MV-22B Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft was involved in what the Marine Corps described as a “ground mishap” during a training exercise.
The fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
