Medicaid Funds Frozen Over Fraud, Five Drown in Ohio River Rescue | NY POSTcast


The Trump administration is freezing more than $1 billion in Medicaid funding to California and Minnesota while federal officials review potentially fraudulent claims. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says the money will remain on hold until both states prove the taxpayer funds were spent lawfully. Five people, including two married couples, drowned in Ohio’s Scioto River after rushing into the water to save a struggling swimmer. The failed rescue attempt has left young children without their parents as investigators examine the dangerously high river conditions.
