Lovlina Borgohain calls out Glasgow restaurant over missing Northeast on India map
Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain has criticised an Indian restaurant in Glasgow after it served Commonwealth Games athletes with napkins featuring an inaccurate map of India that omitted the North East.
Lovlina said every part of India is important and deserves representation. The controversy escalated after Boxing Federation of India (BFI) President Ajay Singh also pointed out inaccuracies involving Jammu and Kashmir, urging the restaurant to withdraw the napkins and correct the map to reflect India’s complete territorial integrity.
