LGE 2026 | SANDF to support police and prevent violence in KZN
The latest cost to deploy more than 500 SANDF members to KwaZulu-Natal to quell possible violent protests by March and March supporters will be just over R34 million.
The deployment started on the 9th of October and will run until the end of November.
President Cyril Ramaphosa notified Parliament of the deployment on October 21st, but some Members of Parliament have criticised him for the delayed notification.
