LGE 2026 | Cape Muslim Congress targets Cape Town gains

The Cape Muslim Congress (CMC) says it aims to win between 5 and 10 seats in the City of Cape Town council.

Established in 2010, the party is self-funded by its leader, Yagyah Adams, who says that despite the high cost of running an election campaign, its track record of delivering on commitments speaks to its diligence.

Reducing the burden on ratepayers, affordable housing, and a lasting solution to violence are among its top priorities.

SABC News reporter Mariska Botha filed this report from Cape Town.
