Kyiv under fire: Russia’s show of force or sign of desperation? | News in Depth
Following another massive barrage on the Ukrainian capital, Russia has publicly called on foreign diplomats to leave Kyiv, implying that by remaining there, they are putting themselves in the path of danger.
“Kyiv is a dangerous place. It’s been a dangerous place for a long time,” said Marcin Zaborowski, TVP World’s Europe Editor, explaining that the ultimate goal Russia is trying to achieve is to get foreign diplomats to leave Kyiv to create a “perception (…) that things are looking really bad for Ukraine.”
