James Talarico denies being vegan

James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Texas, spoke at another stop of his “The People vs. Ken Paxton” campaign tour.

During his remarks, Talarico responded to Paxton’s claims against him. Talarico addressed the claims that he’s vegan, calling them false. He also said he’s been “eating barbecue since before Ken Paxton’s first indictment.”

Talarico has also embraced the “Talafreako” nickname that Paxton supports coined for him. Talarico says he’s selling merchandise on his website with the word.

Paxton defeated incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) in the Republican primary runoff election on Tuesday.
