Jaishankar seeks Africa’s support for India’s permanent UN Security Council seat
Speaking at the Africa Day event, External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar highlighted India’s role in securing the African Union’s permanent membership in the G20 during India’s presidency. Reaffirming India’s commitment to Africa and the Global South, he also called for African support for India’s bid for a permanent seat on a reformed United Nations Security Council.
