President Cyril Ramaphosa has received the second Madlanga Commission interim report, recommending disciplinary action and criminal investigations involving Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya, Witness G, Sergeant Fannie Nkosi and Brown Mogotsi. An SAPS special investigations task team will handle the matters, while the final report is due in November.

At the Commission, IDAC investigations head Matthews Sesoko has testified about Andrea Johnson and an Operations Manual they both signed. Prosecutor Drushantha Ramsamy also became emotional while presenting evidence that Johnson had not been truthful about the appointment of Crime Intelligence Technical Support head Dineo Mokwele.
