Inside the U.S. Military’s Drone Mission Along the Southern Border

U.S. Army soldiers with the 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, used drone technology to support a U.S. Customs and Border Protection monitoring mission near Naco, Arizona. The operation was conducted as part of Joint Task Force–Southern Border under Operation Ardent Vanguard, with U.S. Northern Command providing military support to border security efforts within its authorized role.
