Godongwana commends SA’s fiscal framework
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana says the one billion rand guarantee granted to South African Airways will enable the national carrier to navigate its immediate financial challenges, particularly those brought on by high fuel costs.
Godongwana was speaking to SABC Economics Editor Tshepo Mongoai on the sidelines of the annual Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation Inclusive Growth Forum in the Drakensberg, KwaZulu-Natal. The Minister noted that the guarantee puts SAA in a far stronger position to raise capital.
