Germany approves joint venture with Russia’s Rosatom despite Ukraine war | DW News
Germany has cleared a controversial project involving Russia’s state-owned company Rosatom, despite Western efforts to isolate Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine. The project would allow nuclear fuel rods for Soviet-designed reactors across Eastern Europe to be manufactured in Germany. Unlike Russia’s oil and gas sectors, much of its nuclear industry remains outside EU sanctions because several member states still rely on Russian technology and fuel supplies.
