German cabinet agrees to boost army recruitment | DW News


Germany’s cabinet has recently passed a draft law to introduce voluntary military service. The legislation leaves the door open for a return to compulsory conscription, which was suspended in 2011. As the army, or Bundeswehr, struggles to fill the ranks, we asked young Germans how they feel about the plan.
