A family has fled their home in the Northern Territory following the murder of a young girl, with police maintaining an increased presence to prevent vigilante violence. The grandmother has stated they will never return to their residence in Alice Springs and plan to relocate to Yendamu, 300 kilometres away. A suspect, Jefferson Lewis, has been moved to Darwin and is expected to be charged, while bottle shop bans remain in place as authorities work to calm community tensions.
