‘DOOMSDAY STRIKE’: Iran SINKS 2,500 Containers In Huge Attack On ‘U.S.-LINKED’ Ship In Hormuz
Chilling footage from the Strait of Hormuz shows the aftermath of an alleged attack on a container ship, with containers scattered across the water and small boats moving through the wreckage. Iranian media, including Press TV, shared the footage, while Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy claimed the vessel struck a naval mine, triggering an explosion and a severe fire. The ship was reportedly carrying around 2,500 containers when the incident occurred in the southern part of the strategic waterway. The footage offers a glimpse into the growing dangers facing commercial shipping amid the ongoing US-Iran war. Once one of the world’s busiest maritime corridors, the Strait of Hormuz has become a major flashpoint, with threats of naval mines, projectile attacks and disruptions to vital shipping routes. Before the war began on February 28, an estimated 125 to 140 large commercial vessels passed through the strait daily.
