TVP World presents “Lady of the Birds,” a report by Piotr Stefanowski telling the remarkable story of Dr. Izabela Dłużyk – a sound documentarian, nature recording specialist, and employee of the University of Gdańsk’s Foreign Languages Center, who has been blind since birth.
Guided by an extraordinary sense of hearing, Dr. Dłużyk has dedicated her life to recording and studying the sounds of nature, especially birdsong.
For her, the natural world is experienced not through sight, but through sound, allowing her to recognize species, understand ecosystems, and capture moments that often go unnoticed by others.
