Charlie Kirk has been fatally shot after answering a chilling question during a tour in Utah.
The controversial figure was at Utah Valley University in Orem when the shooting took place in front of hundreds of people.
The 31-year-old father of two was conducting a Q&A session from a pop-up tent on campus when the incident occurred, sending thousands of spectators into a panic.
Video of the shooting has gone viral, showing Kirk collapsing after a shot sound rings out while he discusses gun violence in the US.
Kirk was reportedly shot in the neck with images online of him sitting on stage apparently being hit. He was rushed by private vehicle to hospital, where he died.
Officials believe the shooting was “a targeted attack towards one individual”, with one shot fired.
Questions have been raised over whether the topic he was discussing at the time was related to the shooting or a coincidence.
