‘Ceasefire deal is hanging by a thread’: Trump’s Iran comment sends oil prices surging
Oil prices have jumped following US President Donald Trump’s comments on the Iran ceasefire, according to CommSec’s James Gruber.
“A pretty steady day on Wall Street … the S&P 500 rose by 0.2 per cent. That was despite a big jump in oil prices,” he told Sky News Australia.
“They were up almost three per cent after President Trump’s comments that the Iran ceasefire deal is hanging by a thread.”
