Bester’s application to interdict Netflix doccie
Convicted rapist Thabo Bester and his co-accused, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, will launch an urgent application in the High Court in Pretoria today to halt a Netflix documentary. This is just a day before the launch of the three-part documentary series, ‘Beauty and the Bester’. With the first parts of the widely anticipated series expected to air tomorrow, both Bester and Magudumana want the launch stopped. They argue that the documentary contains defamatory information. Bester’s lawyer, Courage Morero says they want the court to permanently stop Netflix from releasing, broadcasting, streaming, advertising or publishing the documentary without his consent.
