Beachgoers Flee as Violent Winds RIP Through Brazil
Beachgoers at Rio de Janeiro’s Praia Vermelha Beach were forced to flee when powerful winds swept through the area on July 29, sending umbrellas and chairs flying. Video showed crowds scrambling for safety as gusts reached up to 62 mph across southeast Brazil. The severe winds caused widespread damage and were linked to at least five deaths, including fatalities from collapsed structures and falling trees.
