A 43-year-old man remained in police custody on Tuesday in relation to a horror attack on independent MP Helen Haines outside her Victorian electorate office.
Ms Haines was struck by a white Toyota LandCruiser outside her office in the northern town of 250km from Melbourne, just after 3.30pm on Monday. The federal member for Indi suffered severe lower body-injuries in the incident and there are fears she could lose both her legs.
