Australia’s men’s 4×100 metre freestyle relay team dominates at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, securing gold with a commanding performance. Flynn Southam leads off with the fourth fastest Australian split ever at 47.09 seconds, followed by Kai Taylor (son of five-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist Hayley Lewis), Harrison Turner, and anchor Kyle Chalmers, the Rio Olympic gold medallist. The victory marks Australia’s sixth gold medal on the opening day of pool competition, with the team finishing in 3:09.49, ahead of England (3:11.69) and South Africa (3:13.99).
