ANC NW | Internal divisions mark candidates selection
The ongoing process of selecting councillor candidates ahead of the November local government elections, have laid bare the heightened factional battles and intensified internal divisions within the ANC in North West.
The process has been marred by allegations of widespread irregularities, fraud, and interference from some leaders.
According to the ANC provincial leadership, the Ngaka Modiri Molema region has many outstanding branches that are yet to select candidates, while three other regions are left with very few branches.
The party also says the Provincial Disputes Resolution Committee has dealt with almost 200 disputes since the process started few weeks ago.
