Eastern Cape communities receive title deeds
The Minister of Land Reform and Rural Development, Mzwanele Nyhontso, has officially handed over title deeds to the Ncora Community in Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape.
The ceremony marks a significant milestone in South Africa’s land restitution programme and restores ownership rights to the community, which was dispossessed of their land through apartheid-era policies.
Nyhontso says the ministry will contribute more than R140 million to sustain the Ncora Irrigation Scheme.
Our reporter Nkululeko Nyembezi and video journalist Lwandile Mbulali filed this report.
