A national snapshot of affordable housing revealed that 99 per cent of private rentals are unaffordable for people on welfare or earning minimum wage.
The survey of 49,000 rental ads across the country prompted renewed calls for the federal budget to include reforms to capital gains tax concessions and negative gearing for investors.
